About the Role

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our EV Infrastructure team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing complex and/or multi-service projects, ensuring successful completion within scope, schedule, and budget, while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple EV Infrastructure projects and clients simultaneously, taking full accountability for project outcomes.
  • Maintain effective stakeholder relationships, both internal and external, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Coordinate and manage project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Develop and implement project plans, monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed to ensure project success.
  • Oversee project work and ensure deliverables meet quality standards and contractual obligations.
  • Track project health and take corrective action when necessary to prevent project delays or cost overruns.
  • Manage uncertainty and change, such as scope creep and change orders, to ensure project stability and success.
  • Ensure timely invoicing and accounts receivable collection, maintaining a high level of financial management and control.
  • Support the electrical engineering aspects of EV Charging Facilities and Energy Storage Projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Oversee the review of utility service/interconnection requirements for various utilities and manage the technical portions of service/interconnect applications for EV clients.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other project disciplines, including civil engineers, geotechnical/structural engineers, and surveyors, to ensure comprehensive project execution.
  • Ability to conduct electrical engineering design and develop construction documents for EV projects, staying updated on the latest equipment and industry best practices.
  • Manage land development civil engineering projects efficiently, meeting schedules and budgets, and administering the construction services portions of projects, including RFI response and site meetings with contractors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one within 6 months of employment.
  • Strong knowledge of utility service requirements and interconnection processes.
  • Basic understanding of electrical calculations and studies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a project manager or similar role.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Preferred Experience
  • Extensive experience in electrical engineering design for EV Charging projects.
  • Experience in the renewable energy industry.
  • Experience in the commercial land development market.
  • Experience managing complex and/or multi-service projects.
  • Experience with program management.
  • Advanced knowledge of project financial management.
  • Experience with contract negotiation and management.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
