The Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services is seeking a highly skilled Investigator VI to join its State Centers Investigations Team (SCIT). As a commissioned peace officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for conducting complex criminal investigations involving allegations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of residents in state-supported living centers and patients in state hospitals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations, gathering and analyzing evidence, and interviewing witnesses and suspects.
- Prepare detailed reports and present findings to management and external agencies.
- Collaborate with internal and external departments to ensure effective investigations and referrals.
- Testify in judicial proceedings and administrative hearings as required.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of investigative principles, techniques, and procedures.
- Understanding of local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
