Job Summary

East Tennessee State University's College of Nursing is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team at the Hancock County Community Health Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide advanced practice primary care to patients, collaborate with other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of our healthcare services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced practice primary care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of common acute and chronic health conditions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other advanced practice providers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Document all services provided and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and contribute to the development of our healthcare services.
  • Supervise staff as assigned and participate in the training and development of new staff members.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in nursing with preparation in advanced practice nursing (FNP, ANP, PNP, or another specialty as required for specific position).
  • National certification in the appropriate area.
  • Certificate of fitness to prescribe.
  • Current unencumbered license as a registered nurse in Tennessee or a compact state.
  • Experience as specified for each position.
