Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team in New York. As a key member of our Financial Reporting group, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing the firm's quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, footnotes, and iXBRL filings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of the firm's quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, including interaction with various finance teams across the firm.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of accounting standards relevant to the disclosures in the 10-Q/K and ensure compliance with the requirements.
  • Prepare and review financial statement and disclosure review packages, and coordinate quarterly disclosure meetings with stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage relationships with Legal Entity Controllers, Product Controllers, and other internal departments to ensure reporting requirements are satisfied.
  • Provide guidance to LECs and Product Controllers, as well as other finance teams, on quarter-end deliverables.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to enhance existing workflows, technology, and processes, and manage, validate, and influence design plans to ensure solutions align with desired results.
  • Conduct peer analysis research and present to senior management, and respond to various ad-hoc requests with detailed analysis.
  • Demonstrate the ability to exercise sound judgment to mitigate risk in a highly regulated environment, and foster an environment where risk and control issues are escalated, trends are identified, and questions are anticipated.
  • Manage and lead junior and team members.
Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting (CPA preferred)
  • 4+ years relevant work experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and interact with various teams across the firm
  • Strong multi-tasking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and sense of ownership
  • Accurate and detail-oriented, with sound judgment and integrity
  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment under challenging deadlines
  • Ability to work within a team and collaborate with peers and leadership to drive firmwide initiatives
  • Strong Excel and Word skills
