Legent Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Sterile Processing Technician to join our team.

Job Summary

The Lead Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for overseeing the decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of medical supplies, equipment, and instrumentation. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of sterile processing technicians to ensure efficient and effective processing of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Develop and implement procedures for decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of medical supplies and equipment, and ensure that all necessary supplies are available for use.
  • Collaborate with the OR manager to ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are available for surgical procedures.
  • Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure that all medical supplies and equipment are properly processed and sterilized.
  • Provide training and guidance to sterile processing technicians to ensure that they are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
  • Maintain accurate records of processing and sterilization activities, and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • Current and valid sterile processing technician certification required, or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years' experience as a Sterile Processing Tech Required.
  • Current and active CPR certification.
