Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of sterile processing technicians in maintaining a sterile environment and processing medical instruments.
- Develop and implement quality control programs to ensure compliance with hospital and departmental policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Provide training and guidance to new staff members on sterile processing procedures and protocols.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accurate and efficient use of supplies.
- Develop and maintain written policies and procedures for decontamination, reprocessing, and packaging of instruments and equipment.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. 2 years of experience in sterile processing and IAHCSMM Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) or Certified Registered Central Sterile Tech required.
