About the Role:

  • This is an overnight full-time roving position, requiring approximately 40 hours of work per week.
  • You will be responsible for patrolling the premises, maintaining a high level of visibility, and monitoring entrances and exits to ensure only authorized personnel access the facility.
  • Your primary responsibility will be to create a safe and secure environment, protecting our premises, assets, and employees, and preventing any illegal or inappropriate occurrences.
  • The ideal candidate has experience with public safety and security and operates with a high degree of integrity at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Patrol retail locations, parking garages, and common areas as needed and deter panhandlers and loiters from property.
  • Remove trespassers when necessary and respond quickly to critical situations.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities and report on any security incidents.
  • Uphold the property rules and regulations and observe, survey, and report activities at the assigned site.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and operate surveillance equipment effectively.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Security Guard or in a similar position.
  • A High school diploma/GED is required, but a higher education qualification is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of public safety and security procedures, excellent written communication skills, and report-writing ability are essential.
  • The ability to stand, walk, and work in varied weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain during exterior patrols, is crucial.
