About the Job

Penn State Health is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanners to produce high-quality images of patients. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential in ensuring the safety and comfort of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI scanners to produce high-quality images of patients
  • Monitor patient safety and comfort during the scanning process
  • View images of the area being scanned to ensure quality of pictures
  • Administer gadolinium contrast dosage intravenously as needed
  • Interview patients to explain MRI procedures and position them on the examining table
  • Enter patient data into the computer system, including patient history, anatomical area to be scanned, orientation, and position of entry
Requirements
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) and registered or registry eligible in MRI
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
