We are currently engaged in the development of a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility at Port Arthur, Texas, which will feature two identical LNG trains, two LNG storage tanks, and a dedicated LNG carrier berth.
Position Overview:
As a Mechanical Superintendent, you will lead a skilled team of craft professionals on-site. Your primary responsibilities will include directing craft activities, managing work schedules, and coordinating subcontractor efforts to ensure project success.
Your leadership will guarantee that all team members are equipped with the necessary tools and resources to perform their tasks efficiently while adhering to project guidelines, specifications, and budgetary constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Supervision: Oversee and direct craft activities, managing a team of up to 50 professionals.
- Work Scheduling: Plan and schedule work tasks, reviewing completed work for quality and efficiency.
- Resource Management: Assess workforce needs and coordinate operational plans.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to the latest design documents and compliance with specifications and schedules.
- Technical Collaboration: Work closely with Construction Field Engineers and Foremen to interpret engineering documents and provide solutions.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 5-8 years of relevant experience, or 9-12 years of applicable work experience is required.
Essential Skills:
- Experience in LNG construction, particularly along the U.S. Gulf Coast.
- Background in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, or power generation construction is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards.
- Ability to develop and manage work schedules effectively.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
