Bechtel Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Superintendent to lead a team of craft professionals on a project.

About the Role:

This is a key leadership position that requires a strong background in mechanical construction, project management, and team supervision. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing craft activities, scheduling work, and ensuring compliance with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of craft professionals on a project
  • Direct craft activities and schedule work to be performed
  • Review work accomplished by each craft and ensure compliance with project policies and procedures
  • Coordinate established area operational plans and determine workforce requirements
  • Monitor tool and equipment usage on the site and oversee the preparation of Field Material Requisitions
  • Ensure assigned construction operations and subcontractors' performance are in compliance with specifications and within schedules and budgets
  • Work with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals to interpret Engineering design documents and vendor documents

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience on an LNG construction site, especially along the U.S. Gulf Coast
  • Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing, or power generating station construction
  • Good communication abilities, both verbal and written
  • Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications
  • Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to develop a 3-week look-ahead schedule in regards to work operations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams
