Job Overview

Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Production Technician to join our dynamic team at West Fraser, Inc. This role involves operating essential manufacturing machinery to produce oriented strand board (OSB) while ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and operate manufacturing equipment for OSB production.
  • Utilize forklifts and other mobile machinery to facilitate product movement.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team setting to achieve production goals.
  • Identify and resolve equipment issues through troubleshooting.
  • Participate in continuous process enhancement initiatives.
  • Complete necessary shift documentation and maintain accurate records.
  • Engage in team meetings and ongoing training opportunities.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company standards.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Availability to work a 12-hour rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and cross-train for various roles.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance is essential.
