Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists in providing pharmaceutical care to patients
- Gather, label, and distribute medications accurately and efficiently
- Package, prepare, and safely compound medications, including hazardous substances
- Handle, manage, and distribute controlled substances in compliance with regulatory requirements and department policies
- Assist with training new pharmacy staff
- Maintain accurate medication inventories and billing of medications
- Effectively communicate using established systems and processes
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least 6 months of applicable experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Effective reading, writing, speaking, and understanding of English
- Proven history of effectively performing technical tasks and following written/verbal instructions
- Able to apply math and calculator skills, along with a working knowledge of the metric system
- Strong telephone and verbal communication skills
- Experience with office software computer applications and keyboarding
- Demonstrated ability to work in a busy environment and pay attention to detail
- Proven organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to effectively work both independently and in a team environment
- Competitive hourly rate of $27.02
- Benefits eligibility
- Full-time schedule with 80 hours per pay period
- Mostly day shift with occasional evening shifts
- Every other weekend schedule
