Job Title: Operations Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team at MillenniumSoft. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and coordinating activities of the warehouse associates and all operations related to the receipt, storage, and distribution of product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate shipments of orders from the distribution center.
  • Effectively utilize and ensure compliance with client inventory control and warehouse management systems.
  • Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staffing levels; ensure activities are performed effectively and manage fluctuating workloads.
  • Evaluate employee performance; prepare performance appraisals; maintain work records and reports.
  • Conduct staff meetings to relay general information or address specific topics such as safety, quality, policy changes, etc.
  • Recommend or initiate personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, and disciplinary measures.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and adhere to proper operating practices and procedures designed to prevent injuries and illnesses.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Associate's degree from two-year college or technical school and two to three years' related experience.
  • High school diploma or GED and four to five years' related work experience.
  • Minimum of three years' supervisory experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of inventory and warehouse management systems.
  • Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Practices meaningful two-way communication.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Performs basic math computations accurately.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Possesses sufficient inductive and deductive reasoning ability to successfully perform job.

Sanitation and Housekeeping:

  • Maintain a clean and professional image.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the facility, follow guidelines as outlined.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area at all times.

Hazmat Training:

  • This associate may be provided with Hazmat training to include general awareness, function-specific, security awareness, security plan, and safety training.

Cross-training:

  • Become knowledgeable with the responsibilities of other warehouse positions. Assist as required. Act as backup at times of absence or vacation.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to operate MHE.
  • Must have knowledge of principles and methods for distribution of product.
  • Understands and can efficiently use computer hardware/software to convey and retrieve information.

Work Environment:

  • 2nd shift – 2:30pm to 11:30pm.
