US Oncology, Inc is seeking a highly skilled Oncology Nurse Specialist to join our team. As an Infusion Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our Medical Oncology Department.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, implement, and coordinate patient care consistent with established standards and practices.
- Assess patient needs and provide teaching and other instructional material.
- Prepare and administer therapies under the direction and supervision of a physician.
- Administer medications and blood products using correct medication, dosage, route, time, and technique.
- Facilitate dose modification by assessing patient, assessing labs, consulting protocol or treatment plan, calculating dose, and consulting physician regarding dosage modifications, problems, and symptom management.
- Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central lines catheter devices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assigned patient care and treatments provided.
- Apply knowledge of reimbursement procedures and charge capture.
- Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.
- Minimum 0-3 years of RN experience.
- Current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
