Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Per Diem to join our team of passionate patient caregivers at Rehabilitation Hospital of Northwest Ohio.

About Us

Rehabilitation Hospital of Northwest Ohio is a 40-bed hospital that provides specialized inpatient and outpatient rehabilitative services to patients in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. Our hospital has been ranked in the Top 10% nationally for rehabilitative care for 5 years and has earned The Joint Commissions Brain Injury, Stroke and Cardiac Certification.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of an occupational therapist, the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Per Diem will provide rehabilitative services to individuals with physical impairments. The COTA will monitor the patient's program and record patient's progress for the occupational therapist. The COTA will also integrate the hospital's mission and Guiding Principles into daily practice.

Requirements
  • Current licensure as a COTA required per state guidelines.
  • Current Basic Life Support/CPR card required.
  • One year of direct patient care experience in a rehabilitation hospital setting preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of treatment costs and financial support as they relate to quality and efficiency.
  • Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
