Seeking a Medical Technologist II

We are looking for a skilled Medical Technologist II with a background in Blood Bank to join our team. This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $38.50.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform standardized and semi-routine biological, chemical, hematological, immunological, immunohemotological, microbiological, and serological tests in a research or clinical laboratory.
  • Provide guidance to lower-level technologists and assist in administrative activities, staff and student education, research, and/or safety and infection control programs.
  • Educate staff and students by demonstrating procedures and assisting in orientation and continuing education activities.
  • Evaluate the validity of test results; compare to previous results and other laboratory data; in complex cases, evaluate all information and determine whether test results should be released, repeated, or referred to a pathologist.
  • May perform venipuncture or capillary puncture to obtain blood specimens.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical lab science, or a chemical, physical, or biological science.
  • Two years of medical technology experience. (Medical Laboratory Technician experience is pro-rated).
  • Certification by one of the following accreditation agencies: MT (ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or categorical.
