Critical Care Registered Nurse

Wooster Community Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care/Step Down ICU team on a PRN basis. As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to adolescent and adult patients with a cardiac focus.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care
- Direct the care delivered by others in the department
- Assist with special procedures
- Provide care for patients on intravenous vasoactive medications
Requirements:
- Active license in the State of Ohio
- AHA Healthcare Provider BLS card
- Cross-training and competency in Step-down Nursing within 1 year
- ACLS certification within 1 year of hire and maintenance
- NIH stroke certification within 6 months and maintenance
Preferred Attributes:
- BSN or ADN degree
Other Requirements:
- Exposure to blood, body fluids, and airborne pathogens
- Ability to push, pull, lift, carry, turn, crouch, and bend as necessary
- On-call status
- Reassignment to another nursing unit
- Subject to STHR (short-term hour reduction) according to policy
Work Schedule:
- Minimum 24 total hours per 4-week schedule period
- 12-hour weekend requirement
- 1 major holiday requirement
