Job Summary

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Intern to join our team in Raeford, NC. As a Quality Assurance Intern, you will work closely with our Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) team to validate our Less Than Daily sanitation program, define moisture retention protocols, and work with our laboratory to ensure sample collection and analysis. You will also partner with cross-functional leadership teams to ensure validation, moisture, and Salmonella intervention protocols have been developed.

Responsibilities
  • Validate the Less Than Daily sanitation program
  • Define moisture retention protocols
  • Work with the laboratory to ensure sample collection and analysis
  • Partner with cross-functional leadership teams to ensure validation, moisture, and Salmonella intervention protocols have been developed
  • Perform data collection, trend quality metrics, and communicate results
  • Work with FSQA and Operations teams to ensure sample collection
  • Work with Laboratory staff to understand sampling and analysis process
  • Record/report data and results
  • Support various teams to ensure that manufacturing process is consistent, compliant, and adheres to good manufacturing practices (GMP) requirements
Requirements
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Safety, or related field with an expected graduation date of December 2025 through June 2026
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work
  • Demonstrating knowledge and skill with Excel formulas to extract, organize, and report data
  • Showing strong interpersonal and relational skills
  • Experience with handling customer orders and other customer service functions
  • Background in supply chain and/or customer service preferred
  • Exposure to SAP and other MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and WMS (Warehouse Management) systems preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs to move turkeys and product as required
