Job Title: Quality Control Engineer III

TSC is seeking a Quality Control Engineer III to join our team in Fayetteville, NC. This position will support the Airborne Solutions and ISR (AISR) Division.

As a Quality Control Engineer III, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining relevant Quality documentation in compliance with AS9100D. You will determine if current methods and techniques result in meeting reliability standards or require modification. You will develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials.

You will perform calculations to determine angles, tolerances, dimensions, and other measurements in accordance with engineering specifications and other quality requirements. You will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. You will devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of parts and production equipment.

You will design, capture, and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment; conduct quality assurance tests; and perform statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.

You will ensure that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.

Travel Requirements: 25% on average

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical field of study with minimum 3 years of experience
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100D Requirements and Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Ability to analyze data to determine root cause and manage Root Cause Corrective action process
  • Experience working with engineering, customer service, supply chain, and quality to resolve quality issues in a timely manner
  • Proficient in reading drawings and generating techniques to obtain required tolerances, measurements, and pass/fail criteria
  • Experience entering and reviewing Engineering Change Orders (ECO)
  • Frequently requires vision abilities to include close, distance, depth perception, and telling the difference between colors, repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity and the ability to stand for long periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aerospace Industry experience (Commercial or DoD)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills, including data analysis and problem-solving
  • Strong attention to detail
