Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic team at Kendal at Lexington, a premier continuing care retirement community.

Job Summary:

The LPN will provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor and document patient progress and responses to treatments.
  • Assist with patient assessments, including vital signs, and report any changes to the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care.
  • Educate residents and their families on health conditions and care plans.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
  • Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • New nursing graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Previous experience in a long-term care or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
