Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Patient Care Associate II to join our team in Needham, Massachusetts.
This is a 32-hour per week, night shift position that requires a high level of patient care and unit activity management under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care activities such as taking vital signs and assisting patients with basic activities of daily living.
- Perform non-clinical activities such as acting as a receptionist, coordinating equipment, providing transportation, and completing tasks specific to the department assigned.
- Interact with patients, families, nursing, and interdisciplinary personnel, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure safe patient care and smooth unit operations.
- Successful completion of the Patient Care Assistant Proficiency Exam with a score of 80% or better.
- Successful completion of the literacy exam with a score of 80% or better.
- CPR training required.
- Phlebotomy training preferred.
- Ability to speak and understand written and oral English communication.
