Job Description

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1+ years of experience in special education and a strong background in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive educational evaluations to assess students' cognitive, behavioral, and emotional functioning.
  • Develop and implement tailored IEPs to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities.
  • Provide counseling and support to students on a range of issues, including academic concerns, social-emotional problems, and behavioral challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school personnel to develop and implement interventions to address students' needs.
  • Work closely with parents and families to provide support and resources.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives to promote student success and well-being.
  • Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in special education.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution.
  • Valid and current state license to practice special education.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working as a special education teacher in an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment and intervention techniques.
  • Experience in developing and implementing IEPs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassion, empathy, and commitment to student success.
