Job Overview

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing and optimizing logistics and supply chain operations. Your responsibilities will include coordinating transportation, storage, and delivery of goods, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate transportation of goods, including selecting carriers, negotiating rates, and scheduling shipments.
  • Act as primary point of contact between suppliers, carriers, and internal teams, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the logistics process.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs paperwork.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with inventory team to ensure adequate stock levels and efficient turnover.
  • Address and resolve any issues related to transportation delays, damaged goods, or discrepancies in shipments.
  • Ensure all logistics operations comply with relevant regulations and company policies, including safety and environmental guidelines.
  • Track and analyze logistics metrics, providing reports and insights to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics coordination or supply chain management.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Knowledge of transportation regulations and customs procedures is a plus.
  • Attributes: Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.

Assignment Details:

  • 4-5 months (potential for extension or permanent hire)

Compensation: $21.00 to $23.00 per hour
