County Line Veterinary Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to our animal friends. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgeries
- Administer medications, take blood samples, and perform other technical procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service and education to pet owners
- Work collaboratively with our veterinary team to ensure seamless patient care
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest veterinary techniques and best practices
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience working as a veterinary technician or assistant
- Proficient in basic veterinary procedures, including administering medications, placing catheters, and taking blood samples
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with pet owners compassionately and professionally
- A passion for working with animals and a commitment to providing high-quality care
- A degree from an accredited AVMA veterinary technician program (preferred)
- An active TX license (preferred)
