Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Nationwide Technical Resources Corp.

The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of experience working in the construction or utility industry, with a strong background in project management and engineering.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop project schedules and processes for cutting-edge overhead transmission projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project schedules and processes to ensure timely execution and monitoring.
  • Monitor and control project expenditures, ensuring accurate recording of tickets, invoices, and claims from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Provide planning and cost control support for all projects, including variation reporting, contract progress monitoring, and customer billing preparation.
  • Assist with pre-construction tasks such as mark-out requests, job kick-offs, utility work packages, and permitting.
  • Capture and record data including timesheets, crew locations, billing, as-built records, and materials.
  • Manage and schedule project activities, ensuring timely execution and monitoring.
  • Utilize productive reports from the project management system (ViewPoint) for effective project implementation.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to resolve issues and ensure project completion.
  • Report on project costs monthly to ensure expenditures align with the project budget.
  • Attend and contribute to customer meetings, gaining exposure to client interactions and project negotiations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office for project documentation and reporting.
  • Experience in the areas of budgeting, financial reporting, and cost tracking.
  • Have an advanced knowledge of Excel, data manipulation, and spreadsheet design to communicate results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
