Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and managing all aspects of venue operations, including event management, front-of-house operations, and maintenance. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Management: Supervises and manages all aspects of event management, including event setup, technical rehearsals, and event close-out.
  • Front-of-House Operations: Oversees front-of-house operations, including ticket sales, concessions, and customer service.
  • Maintenance: Manages venue maintenance, including repairs, cleaning, and upkeep.
  • Reporting: Compiles and records venue reports and distributes them to required departments per show.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Prior experience supervising a team, staff, or Volunteers preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Able to remain poised and tactful when dealing with guests (external and internal).
  • Ability to effectively manage medical and emergency situations.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000 - 70,000, depending on experience and qualifications. The Straz Center for the Performing Arts offers a comprehensive benefits package, including employee discounts, a 403(b) plan, and flexible scheduling.
