Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor of American Sign Language to join our faculty team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching American Sign Language courses and contributing to the development of our program.

Responsibilities
  • Teach American Sign Language courses to students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with the program's goals and objectives.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students.
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide activities, such as curriculum development and professional development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications
  • Possession of an unexpired California Community College Instructor Credential in American Sign Language (ASL).
  • OR - Any bachelor's degree and two (2) years of full-time equivalent professional experience directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment or the equivalent.
  • OR - Any associate degree and six (2) years of professional experience directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment or the equivalent.
Working Conditions

Assignments may include Monday through Friday (day and evening), as well as Saturday classes. Adjunct Salary Rate: Starting at $88.30 per hour.
