Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Medical Support Specialist to join our team at BioLife Plasma Services. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our donors, including our Spanish-speaking donors, by providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless and safe donation experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine donor eligibility accurately and in a timely manner, including proper management of informed consent, AIDS education, and confidential self-exclusion.
  • Communicate with donors, including Spanish-speaking donors, to ensure a seamless and exemplary donation experience.
  • Evaluate and manage donor reactions, which occur at the facility, as outlined in the SOPs.
  • Manage donor deferral, reviews test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results per applicable SOPs.
  • Initiate and investigate Post Donation Information (PDI).
  • Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when needed for guidance on medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
Requirements
  • Currently licensed or certified in the state where duties will be assigned: Licensed Paramedic (EMT-P).
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification required.
  • Ability to fluently and proficiently speak and read in both English and Spanish.
  • Minimum of two years in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
