Magnet Medical is seeking a dedicated and skilled Critical Care Nurse to join their team in Manchester, Connecticut.

About the Job

We are offering a 13-week contract with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. The successful candidate will work 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts, including nights.

Job Summary:

The Critical Care Nurse in the Emergency Department provides high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. They assess patients' conditions, prioritize care, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Triage and Patient Assessment: Perform initial assessments of patients presenting in the ER, evaluate patient history, and identify urgent health issues to prioritize care.
  • Emergency Care and Treatment: Administer medications, fluids, and treatments as prescribed, including IV fluids, antibiotics, pain management, and other emergency medications.
  • Collaboration with Medical Team: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Monitoring and Documentation: Continuously monitor patients' conditions, noting changes in vital signs, mental status, and symptoms.

Salary: This is a paid position with a competitive salary based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Experience in Emergency Department or Critical Care
