Key Responsibilities
- Deliver continuous care and monitoring of clients.
- Accurately document all relevant information in a timely manner.
- Administer medications and maintain documentation in accordance with Methodist Family Health policies.
- Support Physicians and Registered Nurses as required.
- Ensure the therapeutic environment is upheld through the effective application of the Teaching-Family Model of care.
- Provide health education to patients and their families.
- Assist in executing the treatment plan.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic setting, communicating essential information to other service providers as necessary.
- Assist in preparation and ensure compliance with Licensing, Medicaid, and JCAHO standards.
- Engage in professional development opportunities and in-service training.
- Participate in regular staff meetings as required.
- Provide and maintain necessary information and program records.
- Exhibit knowledge and application of appropriate CPI techniques.
- Document in progress notes with accurate and detailed descriptions of patients' behaviors concerning treatment plans and diagnoses.
- Demonstrate competency in waived testing or phlebotomy.
- Assume responsibility for ongoing educational and professional development, contributing to the professional growth of others.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
Qualifications
- Licensed Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing in Arkansas.
- Current licensure in Arkansas.
- Meet the requirements for privileging status as outlined by Methodist Behavioral Hospital Standards.
- Experience working with adolescents and children in a psychiatric environment is preferred.
- Ability to lift and hold at least 50 pounds for one minute.
- Possess the strength and stamina necessary to fulfill clinical responsibilities.
- Capable of receiving verbal and written instructions; able to sit and stand for extended periods.
- Good auditory, visual, and olfactory abilities; skilled in using hands and fingers for handling objects and controls.
- Able to maintain effective audio and visual discrimination necessary for making observations, communicating, reading, writing, and operating office and treatment equipment.
- Proficient in using a telephone for verbal communication and a computer for written communication, data entry, and information retrieval.
- Willing and able to work with all patients served by Methodist Family Health.
- Flu vaccination is mandatory for all positions, subject only to qualified exemptions.
