Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lead Caregiver to join our team. As a Lead Caregiver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care and services are provided to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Supervisory Support: Take attendance at the beginning of every shift, manage call-offs/no shows, and send open shift messages and respond to shift requests.
- Support Team Members: Assist team members in providing Activities of Daily Living (ADL) care and services to residents in accordance with their Individualized Service Plans (ISP).
- Lead by Example: Demonstrate leadership competencies and make choices, decisions, and act in the residents' best interest.
- Documentation: Accurately document care and services provided to residents, review care manager documentation throughout the shift, and identify and bridge gaps in documentation by coaching team members.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with Sunrise's Timekeeping and Meal/Rest Period policies, monitor team member break schedule and duration, and ensure care managers clock in/out using correct job codes.
- Flexibility: Display and encourage flexibility in work schedule by working holidays, evenings, weekends, and additional shifts when necessary.
- Communication: Participate in crossover meetings by sharing/receiving pertinent information with/from other Lead Care Managers, carry a resident group assignment on overnight shifts, and pick up group assignments in the event of an unfilled call off on day and evening shifts.
- Education: High School diploma or GED strongly preferred and may be required per state regulations.
- Experience: Previous experience working with seniors and a desire to serve and care for seniors.
- Certifications: Medication Management Certificate required; ongoing training and re-education per Sunrise and state requirements.
- Skills: Ability to read, write, communicate effectively with Care Managers, Community Managers, residents, and family members, competent in organizational and time management skills, and demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
