Facility Sanitation Specialist

We are a dedicated inpatient rehabilitation facility in search of committed and enthusiastic Environmental Service Aides. The ideal candidates will be responsible for upholding OASAS Regulations to ensure a safe and clean environment for our clients and staff.

Shift: Tuesday - Saturday from 3:00pm - 11:00pm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough sanitization and disinfection across the facility, including client care areas, examination rooms, waiting areas, restrooms, offices, and meeting spaces.
  • Execute general cleaning duties such as trash and recycling removal, dusting, wet wiping, glass cleaning, vacuuming, spotting, polishing, and mopping.
  • Perform detailed cleaning tasks, including wiping ceiling vents, high and low dusting, furniture cleaning, edge vacuuming, and baseboard maintenance.
  • Maintain basic equipment by checking for wear and damage on assigned tools.
  • Stay informed and knowledgeable about proper disinfection methods and infection control standards to minimize risks.
  • Carry out light extraction carpet cleaning and scrubbing of safety flooring using specialized equipment.
  • Monitor and assess assigned areas for maintenance and security issues, reporting any necessary repairs promptly.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in a healthcare environment or similar preferred.
Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in a relevant field (healthcare facility).
  • Ability to work autonomously while remaining self-motivated.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Effective prioritization and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in the English language.
