About the Department

The P&C Actuarial and Underwriting Modeling (PCM) department at State Farm is a place where interns complete innovative, meaningful research in a collaborative environment focused on developing technical and business skills - a perfect complement to the classroom.

Requirements
  • We are looking for innovative individuals who are self-starters and like being part of a team to develop and implement creative solutions.
  • We have a growing and evolving infrastructure of applications that include development in Python and Java combined with leveraging containers and AWS for implementation.
  • We offer development through training programs, mentoring programs, and leadership opportunities as well as competitive compensation/benefits such as flexible work arrangements.
  • We require a 3.25 GPA cumulative and in major, with a GPA of 3.5 or higher preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and strong communication, interpersonal, organization, leadership, and critical thinking skills are also required.
