The Behavior Technician I is responsible for implementing and administering applied behavior analysis (ABA) programs and services as directed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) within the Autism Services department at Hills & Dales. This role requires working with children, families, and colleagues to provide high-quality care and support.
Responsibilities- Implement and administer ABA programs and services as directed by a BCBA
- Work collaboratively with children, families, and colleagues to provide high-quality care and support
- Develop and maintain a positive and supportive working relationship with children, families, and colleagues
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
- Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment
- Free from a conviction or prior employment history of child or resident abuse or dependent adult abuse
- Ability to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) within one year of hire by passing the certification exam offered by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Prefer three months experience resulting in an established clinical background in the treatment of children with Autism or Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Prefer knowledge in the area of applied behavior analysis
- Have a general working knowledge of computers and department-specific software
