We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Ambulatory Surgical team at LewisGale Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
Responsibilities- Provide clinical and administrative support on the unit, working closely with the clinical team to create and implement a care plan that meets each patient's needs.
- Coordinate unit activities and ensure accountability of all assigned tasks.
- Instruct and educate patients and family members on various aspects of care.
- Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate, utilizing computerized documentation systems.
- Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Licensed or license eligible, as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia through the Board of Health Professions.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
