About the Position

Plasser American Corp is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in designing and developing mechanical components, equipment, and machinery for the railway industry.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical components, equipment, and machinery to meet customer requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement design changes
  • Compile and analyze operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards
  • Develop and implement experimental test programs to validate design concepts
  • Prepare design modifications based on feedback from research and engineering personnel

Desirable Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
  • 5-10 years of experience in heavy equipment machinery design
  • Familiarity with ISO and ANSI standards, as well as weldments and machining operations
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Autodesk Inventor Professional, and AutoCAD
