About the Position
Plasser American Corp is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in designing and developing mechanical components, equipment, and machinery for the railway industry.
Main Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components, equipment, and machinery to meet customer requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement design changes
- Compile and analyze operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards
- Develop and implement experimental test programs to validate design concepts
- Prepare design modifications based on feedback from research and engineering personnel
Desirable Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
- 5-10 years of experience in heavy equipment machinery design
- Familiarity with ISO and ANSI standards, as well as weldments and machining operations
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Autodesk Inventor Professional, and AutoCAD
