Chief of Nephrology Division Opportunity

Duke University School of Medicine is seeking a visionary leader to serve as the Chief of the Division of Nephrology. As a national leader in kidney care, research, and education, the Division is committed to advancing the key missions of the division and providing strategic leadership to drive its growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to advance the key missions of the division
  • Lead a large clinical practice providing comprehensive inpatient and ambulatory care for Duke University Health System
  • Oversee a substantial outpatient dialysis program serving Durham, Raleigh, and surrounding counties
  • Collaborate with the Duke Clinical Research Institute, the Duke Molecular Physiology Institute, and the Hubert-Yeargan Center for Global Health
  • Develop and implement research programs, including basic, translational, clinical, and health services research
  • Recruit and retain top talent, including faculty and staff, to drive the division's growth and success

Requirements:

  • MD degree or equivalent from an accredited College of Medicine
  • Board-certified in Nephrology
  • Eligible for appointment at the Associate Professor level or higher (tenure track) at Duke University School of Medicine
