Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee sports medicine operations for assigned teams, ensuring the highest level of care and support for our student-athletes.
  • Prevent, evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate injuries and illnesses, utilizing our comprehensive sports medicine program.
  • Maintain accurate and precise documentation, adhering to electronic medical record systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with coaching staff, team physicians, and other medical professionals to ensure seamless care and communication.
  • Advocate for nutritional and mental health resources, promoting overall well-being for our student-athletes.
  • Attend team practices and events, working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Travel to away events, maintaining a high level of professionalism and expertise.
  • Uphold Methodist University's policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with NCAA and USA South Conference regulations.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree from a CAATE-accredited program.
  • Certification by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (NATABOC).
  • North Carolina State Athletic Trainer License or eligibility.
  • BLS CPR Certification.
  • 2 years of experience preferred.
