CEI Bridge and Roadway Inspector

We are seeking a highly skilled CEI Bridge and Roadway Inspector to join our team in the Burlington, WV area. As a CEI Roadway & Bridge Inspector, you will be responsible for overseeing and inspecting transportation projects, including roadways and bridges, to ensure contractor compliance with contracts, plans, and specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Observe and inspect various contractor operations such as clearing and grubbing, earthmoving, paving, concrete pavement, bridge construction, pipe installation, traffic control, and pavement marking.
- Perform materials sampling and testing, prepare daily inspection reports, and document contractor payments.
- Conduct calculations and documentation related to project inspection and material testing, inspect erosion control devices for compliance with plans and permits, attend progress and safety meetings, and interact with third-party construction personnel.
- Conduct DBE and EEO compliance surveys.
- You must have one of the following:
- High school diploma/GED required and 4+ years of highway related construction or inspection experience or;
- 2-year technical degree or higher in Civil Engineering Technology or Surveying Technology with 2+ years of highway related construction experience or;
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Construction Management or Construction Engineering Technology Degree
- WV TRET Certification or ability to obtain WV TRET certification within 6 months
- Ability to lift between 40-50 lbs
- Math and technical writing skills
