Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Structural Assembler to join our team at Lockheed Martin Corporation. As a key member of our assembly team, you will be responsible for assembling and making major assembly structures such as fuselage panels and bulkheads, and structural subassemblies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and make major assembly structures such as fuselage panels and bulkheads, and structural subassemblies.
  • Align parts on jigs using templates and fixtures.
  • Assemble sheet metal detail and assembly parts with a variety of fasteners using approved methods and hand tools from blueprints and/or engineer dispositions.
  • Assemble completed fabricated and/or machined parts using sealant or adhesive.
  • Assemble parts and assemblies using tooling, fixtures, and shop aids.
Requirements
  • Must have one of the following:
  • FAA Airframe certification (A&P certification) or current enrollment in an education program, which upon successful completion will result in receipt of FAA Airframe Certification (A&P certification).
  • A minimum of five years of structural assembly or repair experience in the military.
Desired Skills
  • Experience with using hand tools and/or specialty equipment (i.e. drills, reamers, countersinks, hot dimpler, etc.).
  • Experience with measuring devices, dial calipers, MIC scales, etc.
  • Experience in a Mechanical / manufacturing / production environment where the employees will have gained general production knowledge and/or mechanical aptitude.
Work Environment

This position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Benefits

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
