Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead client engagements and assigned staff through the planning, fieldwork, and completion stages of the audit
  • Take responsibility for engagement administration, including coordinating the planning process and engagement completion
  • Maintain positive client relationships and collect and analyze data
  • Identify and research accounting issues when they arise
  • Contribute to the firm's overall growth by actively participating in administrative and operational functions
Requirements:
  • 3-6+ years of recent and relevant public accounting audit experience of nonprofit and governmental entities
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Must be a CPA or CPA exam candidate
  • Intermediate knowledge of accounting and auditing principles
  • Experience with planning audits and preparing financials for governmental and nonprofit clients
  • Ability to work collectively with clients, managers, and co-workers
  • Possess strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and research abilities
  • Initiative to learn new areas beyond the scope of work
  • Proficient in the use of accounting, spreadsheet, word processing, and database computer software
