PRIMARY SUMMARY:
The role involves assembling, fitting, or fastening components of products utilizing various assembly machines or manual techniques.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operates production machinery including drill presses, punch presses, rotary milling machines, and other assembly equipment to support assembly operations.

Interprets blueprints or Manufacturing Orders (MO) for product specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, quantities of parts to be formed, and tooling instructions.

Conducts inspections using calipers, micrometers, scales, templates, or other measuring tools to ensure compliance with blueprints or MOs.

Identifies cosmetic non-conformances according to company standards, such as burrs, galling, cracked edges, slug marks, and dimensional discrepancies in production parts, and takes appropriate action to prevent non-conformance by halting the machine and informing the Lead person or Supervisor.

Engages in the deburring process, removing small amounts of metal from parts using hand files and scrapers.

Sorts, detangles, and reworks items to meet MO specifications.

Inspects products to confirm adherence to quality standards by referencing blueprints or MOs.

Utilizes the Shop Floor System to document MO information.

Counts finished products to verify order completeness.

Records details such as first article inspections, in-process inspections, quantities of products tested, meter readings, and production dates and times.

Labels or tags parts for identification.

Loads and unloads components from production machines manually or with hand tools.

Reports any malfunctioning equipment and non-conforming parts to the Lead person or immediate Supervisors to determine necessary actions.

Maintains records, performs data entry, ensures cleanliness, and adheres to safety protocols.

Possesses a working knowledge of SOP (Standard Operating Procedures), ISO 9001, AS 9100, and ISO standards.

Complies with all 5S departmental procedures, which include but are not limited to: maintaining clean floors free of oil and debris, returning tools to designated locations, organizing part pans, and performing other housekeeping tasks.

Attends all mandatory job-related training sessions (both internal and external).

All employees are accountable for following the rules and regulations established by Federal, Local, and State governments, as well as LISI Aerospace and HSE Procedures.

Employees must report any known or suspected non-conformance with company procedures or legal requirements to management immediately.

Continuously seeks opportunities to enhance our HSE performance by setting objectives and targets, measuring progress, and reporting results.

Additional duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or

Six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should possess knowledge of basic mainframe computer systems.

Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add and subtract six-digit numbers and to multiply and divide by 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of US currency and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to execute detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions. Ability to address problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, licenses, registrations:
Evidence of US person is required under ITAR.
