We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at Bruker. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for performing planned maintenance on MALDI Biotyper instruments, ensuring they are functioning at optimal levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive maintenance on MALDI Biotyper systems, verifying system performance and executing detailed preventive maintenance protocols.
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting on-site using digital volt meters or remote diagnostic software to determine whether an on-site visit is required.
  • Re-qualify instruments after service repair by executing operational and performance protocols, including running complex compounds for verification.
  • Make travel arrangements and generate individual expense reports.
  • Secure customer acceptance of preventive maintenance or repair.
  • Coordinate customer WebEx sessions, phone support, and lab facility inspections.
  • Attend certified MALDI Biotyper product training in the German factory.
  • Communicate closely with service/support centers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronics, biotechnology, or chemistry-related fields or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electro-mechanical, and/or electronic equipment.
