MDPerm is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker LCSW to join our team as a Behavioral Health Provider LCSW. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health services to individuals detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Mental Health Evaluations: Assess and evaluate the mental health of residents, utilizing the DSM V diagnosis to identify and refer individuals to outside treatment facilities as necessary.
- Develop and Manage Treatment Plans: Collaborate with behavioral health technicians to assess patient level of functioning and progress, developing and managing treatment plans to ensure optimal care.
- Provide Direct Mental Health Services: Offer on-site counseling, individual and group psychotherapy, and substance abuse education to detainees with mental health concerns.
- Consult with Medical and Contract Staff: Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide education and training on continuity of care, treatment, monitoring, and management of patients with co-occurring diagnoses.
- Coordinate with HQ Behavioral Health Unit: Ensure continuity of care for placement in or treatment of residents in appropriate settings as required by the conditions of release outlined by ICE.
- Utilize EHR System: Complete clinical assessments, evaluations, advanced care/placement referral initiation, and transfer/discharge summaries using the EHR system.
- Provide Telehealth Services: Offer tele-behavioral health services to patients as needed and as the local facility allows, working with local health staff to coordinate care for identified behavioral health concerns.
- Master's Degree in Social Work: From a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
- Minimum of One Year Experience: As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at the independent level.
- Current, Permanent, Full, and Unrestricted License: To practice clinical social work independently.
- BLS for Healthcare Providers Certification: Through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
- Experience in Detention/Correctional or Residential Healthcare Setting: Preferred experience in implementing and managing a new mental health treatment program and a Modified Therapeutic Community treatment model.
