Job Description

The Lead Network Engineer is responsible for the architecture, design, and support of the enterprise network infrastructure. This role requires a strong technical background in network engineering, with expertise in designing, implementing, and managing complex network systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and create solutions to complex network problems and relationships between integrated systems/networks.
  • Provide expert-level system administration and maintenance for the enterprise infrastructure components, including multiple data centers in both HA and DR configurations.
  • Perform firmware, hardware, and OS upgrades, and required patch management.
  • Monitor overall network performance and perform necessary tuning.
  • Maintain backup copies for all network component configurations.
  • Assess network performance metrics and perform capacity planning.
  • Be actively involved in implementing/testing disaster recovery (DR) processes.
  • Regularly test the validity of network redundancy and failover circuit testing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline; equivalent experience acceptable.
  • Ten years minimum in-depth experience performing network engineering (hardware and software), network design, planning, and implementing WLANs, LANs, and WANs using the latest technology.
  • 6+ years of experience in related planning, analysis, configuration, installation, management, and coordination work.
  • Ability to handle basic network administration tasks to fulfill backup role if needed.
  • Demonstrated experience working well with customers of varying levels of technical expertise in high-pressure situations and complex environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing teams and projects.
