Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a PCU Travel Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Your primary responsibility will be to care for patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessment but aren't unstable enough to need ICU care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
- Perform procedures such as changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs.
- Administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions.
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients and interpret electronic displays.
- Initiate corrective action when information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
Requirements:
You must have a valid BLS and ACLS certification and at least 1 year of experience in acute care. Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
