Position Summary
We are currently seeking a Permitting, Regulatory, and Compliance Specialist to join our team. This role will involve working onsite a few days a week in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
As a Compliance and Regulatory Affairs Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring adherence to all applicable local, state, and federal regulations related to operational activities.
  • Preparing and submitting completion reports along with necessary documentation to regulatory bodies, ensuring that chemical disclosure lists are accurately uploaded.
  • Monitoring communications from regulatory agencies to confirm well classifications, production volumes, and lease identifications, while providing timely responses.
  • Collaborating with the subsurface team to obtain as-drilled plats and conducting compliance reviews for recommended perforations, ensuring alignment with relevant regulations.
  • Reviewing permitted drilling activities against actual drilling to confirm legal compliance of wellbore locations prior to completion.
  • Managing proration schedules and submitting required documentation to maintain production allowables.
  • Tracking and compiling well logs for regulatory submission after confidentiality periods.
  • Following up with regulatory agencies to ensure timely approvals and maintaining comprehensive permit records.
  • Working with various teams to address operational and production compliance issues, including those related to inactive wells.

Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in regulatory and compliance reporting.
  • Extensive knowledge of permitting processes related to pipelines, drilling, and environmental regulations.
  • Experience with well classification, production volume assessments, and lease identification.
  • A solid understanding of Federal, State, and Local OSHA and DOT regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with regulations specific to Texas and Louisiana is advantageous.
