Polk Mechanical is Seeking a Skilled Sheetmetal Mechanic

We are currently looking for a highly skilled Sheetmetal Mechanic to join our team at Polk Mechanical. As a Sheetmetal Mechanic, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal products and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate fabricating machines to cut, bend, and straighten sheet metal
  • Assemble duct work and sheet metal assemblies using a variety of tools
  • Install duct work and sheet metal assemblies on site according to blueprints and specifications
  • Install air moving equipment such as air handlers and exhaust fans
  • Inspect and test installations for project requirements and quality standards

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in sheetmetal work in the mechanical/HVAC industry
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Strong understanding of basic math and measurement techniques
  • Ability to work skillfully with tools, metals, and machines
  • Visualize three-dimensional objects from drawings or blueprints
  • Work within precise limits and standards of accuracy
  • Adapt to changing duties and work standards
