Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at ABB. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and fabricating parts to create small or light fuse assemblies. You will follow established procedures and check the quality of parts made to ensure they meet specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble parts according to manufacturing orders and quality standards
  • Test and calibrate parts to meet tolerances and product specifications
  • Use hand tools and equipment to assemble and fabricate parts
  • Read and interpret technical diagrams and instructions for assembly
  • Meet or exceed company safety requirements and complete mandatory training
  • Read work instructions to determine job specifications and material requirements
  • Learn to follow quality plans and apply work instructions and blueprints
  • Measure work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation
  • Stack, mark, pack, and transport finished work pieces
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous manufacturing experience desirable
  • Ability to stand throughout work shift if assigned to a station requiring standing
  • Sufficient hand/arm strength to handle fuses weighing up to 15 pounds
