Job Summary

As a Fitness Advisor at Genesis Health Clubs, you will play a crucial role in driving the financial growth and sales performance of the club. Your primary responsibility will be to master all aspects of sales operations, ensuring seamless execution and collaboration with supporting departments. You will participate in sales-related functions, including prospecting, staff training, new member sales, and member retention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve monthly and yearly sales goals by developing and implementing effective sales strategies.
  • Motivate yourself daily to achieve club objectives, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Report sales activity daily, providing timely and accurate updates to management.
  • Promptly respond to member concerns, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
  • Ensure the club meets all standards for cleanliness, maintenance, and safety, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for members.
  • Attend all staff and club meetings and events, staying informed and engaged with the team.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with staff, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Maintain and update sales policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • Stay informed about club revenues and goals, making data-driven decisions to drive growth and success.
  • Work closely with retention departments to ensure high participation in club facilities and programs.
  • Ensure all required documentation is completed in a timely manner, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations, prioritizing member safety and well-being.
  • Perform other duties and assignments as necessary or required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

  • Provide input in developing strategies to support goals and objectives, contributing to the club's success.
  • Recommend staff development/education activities, promoting ongoing learning and growth.
  • Develop and build a team atmosphere among staff and departments, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Respond to common inquiries or complaints, providing timely and effective resolutions.
Requirements
  • Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the club's success.
  • Current CPR certification or obtain within 60 days of start date, prioritizing member safety and well-being.
  • Ability to work well with others, building strong relationships and a collaborative work environment.
  • Experience in cash handling and credit cards, ensuring accurate and secure transactions.
  • Customer service abilities, providing exceptional service and support to members.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, maintaining energy and focus throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, ensuring safe and efficient movement around the club.
  • Ability to communicate with guests and other associates, including reading, writing, and speaking, ensuring clear and effective communication.
